It's a Girl!!

Congratulations to my sister, her hubby and little Gavin. They all became the proud new family to a beautiful little girl on the night of Sunday, October 29th. Gavin (her older brother) wanted to call her "Pizza" which is his favorite food in the world! Unfortunately (for Gavin) they decided to call her Jasmine. So, new little baby Jasmine made her way into the world a few weeks early with a very healthy weight of 6 pounds and 7 ounces. She is doing wonderfully and so is mommy. We can't wait to meet little Jasmine over Christmas break when we are headed back home for a short visit.
Congratulations again to my sister and her beautiful little family. We love and miss you!!

Aunt Jenny is gone and we were sad to see her go. We took her to the airport and Ethan had a good cry as we were driving off. He's so cute. We had a lot of fun the day before Aunt Jenny left. We went out to eat lunch then we went to the mall and played in the kids play zone. Ethan ran around with the other kids while Isaak attempted standing next to the soft alligator head. He had loads of fun. We ended the day with a cup of frozen yogurt for Ethan. What a great day it was. We will miss Aunt Jenny.

The bad part about having friends and family visit is having to drive them to the airport. It is always so sad. A few days to spend with loved ones is always worth a couple of tears.

I'm gonna get you!

Yep, he's crawling and scooting all over the house. Just won't sit still. He's even starting to pull himself up into standing position. Ethan never really crawled so this is all new to us. We put him down for one second and *poof* he's gone. We've had to do some serious child proofing around the house and we are going to be getting the door gates out very soon. He's even been going after Sloopy. He's been swatted at twice by Sloopy for getting too close and for trying to grab her tail. No rest for the weary- that's for sure!

Ethan's Special Soccer Moves

No, he's not falling. This is an action shot of Ethan's special move that he created in the middle of last week's soccer game. He busts it out whenever the mood hits him. Mostly at soccer games while all his team mates are running around chasing the ball and trying to score. He has many more really cool moves. I'm not sure how this is benefiting his team but I think it's distracting our opponents. Yeah, he's a pretty clever little guy. He likes to play goalie too. When ever the other team get the ball he flies over to the other teams goal and waits anxiously (arms flapping) to block the ball. It's pretty funny. Aunt Jenny was able to witness his many many strategic moves and maneuvers at yesterdays game. It was a lot of fun. She had a good laugh.

Fun weekend with Uncle J

Uncle J came all the way from Boulder, Co, to visit us this weekend. We had a great time. Showed him all over the Big D, watched Ethan play Soccer and took him to a few multicultural festivals. A great Weekend. We were sad to see him go though. Ethan will especially miss chomping Sweetarts and jumping over spiky things with Uncle J (Ethan's favorite computer game). I think our family life knocked Uncle J off his feet. We sent him home exhausted.

Now we are gearing up for a visit from Aunt Jenny. We are all excited. Ethan can't wait to show her how to chomp Sweetarts and jump over spiky things as well. So get ready Aunt Jenny- you have a big week ahead of you!

We went to a Hot Air Balloon Festival when Grandma C. was visiting. Ethan had a great time playing in the fun houses and eating Dippin' Dots- Thanks grandma C. Here's a picture of the balloons. They were just spectacular.

Happy Birthday to Daddy!

Today was Daddy's birthday. We surprised him with decorations of balloons, streamers, presents and a big Mexican dinner of enchiladas, rice, beans, chips and salsa. YUM! Ethan thought it was very exciting. So exciting that we was inviting people at the grocery store to come and have cake with us. Such a friendly little guy. Daddy was suprised with our little party.

Isaak has really been scooting around the room. Very close to crawling. I'll just set him down and within seconds he's on the other side of the room. I sat him down in my bedroom so that I could get ready and within a few minutes he was squirming down the hallway trying to get one of Ethan's toys. Boy are my hands going to be full.

Still very hot around here. Just barely a little cooler. Low 90's- 50% humidity. Over the weekend it was in the high 90's with 80% humidity. UGH! It sure doesn't seem like October. It is supposed to cool down by the end of the week. We can't wait. We can spend more time outside and at the park when it finally cools down.

My foot is doing very well. I'm getting around just fine and my scar is healed- I can wear shoes with no problems. I've even been going for little walks in the morning with my boys. It feels great to get out and exercise a little.

A special Happy Birthday to Aunt Jenny. We sure do love & miss her.

Go Scorpions!

Pooped out after a long game!

Ethan had another game this AM. Played against the Sharks. They again did very well. They split the two teams into two different games this time with 3 kids playing at a time. It was different and a little confusing. I guess the point was to allow the kids to play a lot more. They did and seemed to be losing steam towards the end. Ethan did well scoring 2 goals this time. We're having so much fun. We will be having guests to our game in a couple of weeks. First, our good friend Jason and then the following week will be Aunt Jenny. We are very much looking forward to their visits.
